

Victoria Hewitt BVSc MRCVS
Vicky qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1992 and worked in mixed practice in West Yorkshire. Whilst on holiday in Aberdeenshire in 1997 Vicky fell in love with the area and moved here in 1998 with her two dogs and two cats. Vicky joined our team in 1999 as a mixed practitioner and now works part time, primarily with small animals.
When not working Vicky enjoys swimming, cooking, walking and wildlife. Over the years her pets have been replaced by a husband and two children!


Dr Mzikazi Ndzengu DR BVSC BSC
Mzikazi (also known as Zee) graduated from the University of Pretoria Onderstepoort Veterinary Faculty of South Africa in 2013 and joined our team in February 2020. Zee has worked in South Africa as a small and large animal vet and has invested most of her career in small animal welfare and animal community clinics with a keen interest in small animal surgery.
Zee enjoys road runs and hiking trails and has hiked up to the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town. Zee has also bungee jumped off of one of the world’s highest bridges at 216 metres above Bloukrans River in Tsitsikamma. In 2021 Zee won CVS “Veterinary Surgeon of the Year” which was a huge achievement going up against 2500 other vets.


Wendy Sleigh BVMS MRCVS
Wendy qualified in 1990 from the University of Glasgow and joined our team in September 1990. She enjoyed it here so much she never left! She was the first female veterinary surgeon employed by the practice and spent the first decade working as a mixed practitioner, particularly enjoying the challenge of caesareans in cows and sheep. Wendy now specialises in small animals with a special interest in surgery.
Wendy lives on the family farm with her husband and two sons. When not working Wendy enjoys playing golf and is a keen wildlife photographer.


Hannah Johnson MRCVS BVMS
Hannah has recently joined the team working mainly at the Deveron Macduff branch. She qualified from Glasgow university in 2002 and has worked in a variety of jobs- from farm work in New Zealand to charity work in India. She has been working with small animals only for the last 14 years and has now settled back in Aberdeenshire with her young family.
She loves meeting all pets and their owners and looks forward to seeing you soon.


Lucas DeBlasis MRCVS
Lucas qualified in from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, Spain in June 2020. Since qualifying, he has been in Scotland. He decided to come to the UK due to looking for a change in culture, his love of pets and the Scottish people.
He had internships in both small and large animals. He also has a keen interest in diagnostic imagery and surgery.
He considers himself a vet that enjoys spending time explaining cases or pathology’s with owners to develop the best possible care for his patients. In his free time he enjoys surfing or discovering new places.
