We are a two site mixed animal practice based in rural Aberdeenshire, first established in 1996. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinary surgeons and nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
Deborah was raised in Connecticut, USA. She graduated from the University of Liverpool Veterinary School in 1993 and has worked in mixed practice throughout Scotland ever since. She has recently joined Deveron Vets and has an interest in feline medicine. Her main hobby is TREC orienteering on horseback and she was placed fifth in the British Championships in 2009. Deborah is married with two boys and when not working spends her time helping her husband on a sheep farm in Western Scotland.
Lesley Henderson BVMS MRCVS
Lesley qualified in 2004 from University of Glasgow. She has been with the practice since 2016 and works with small animals at the Turriff and Macduff practices. Lesley has many outside interests and enjoys keeping fit by going out running with her two dogs. She is a qualified scuba diving master and also runs her own bouncy castle hire business.
Victoria Hewitt BVSc MRCVS
Vicky qualified from the University of Liverpool in 1992. Although originally a large and small animal vet, she now works with small animals only at Turriff and Macduff. Her time outside work is kept busy looking after her two young sons, but she also enjoys swimming and baking. We all appreciate her fantastic home bakes at the practice!
Wendy Sleigh BVMS MRCVS
Wendy qualified in 1990 from the University of Glasgow. She has been with Deveron Vets since she qualified and was our first female vet in the practice. Originally a mixed animal vet, she now works primarily with small animals. Outside work she is a keen golfer and enjoys photography.
